How to Write Your Wedding Vows
The Vows you make on your wedding day will be remembered for the rest of your life.
They are the heart of the ceremony, the most meaningful exchange you will ever have.
There will never be another time in your life when such simple words are so important and
can express the unique love you share.  Unfortunately expressing ones innermost feelings is
not always an easy task.  That is why I am compiling a list of sample vows.  Feel free to take
the ones you like and leave the ones you do not.  Sometimes just the act of reading vows will
help bring out your creative side.  Remember this is no time for cheap laughs but it is time to
speak from your heart.
Most people assume it is only the groom who has trouble expressing his inner most feelings
yet as a bride to be I have been struggling with this myself.  Exactly how does one go about
expressing the unexpressible.  The first thing to remember is to relax, take a deep breath
then pick a quiet spot with a notebook.  As in high school writing class you start with a
simple brainstorm.  Write your partners name in the middle of the page.  For a few minutes
just think of them and ask your self these questions.  How does your partner make you feel?
What features truly stand out?  What qualities and values you do hold dear?  Write down
any thoughts that pop into your mind.
Marriage is not a ceremony but a life long commitment.  (Grooms name) and (Brides Name) have chosen to
enter into this bond freely in front of all gathered here.

The power of love is the greatest force in the universe.  It is the most powerful unifying force known to man and
the only force that links our spirits.

Today is the beginning of a new adventure for (grooms name) and (brides name); they have chosen all
assembled here to welcome and encourage them on this new path.

Only once comes along a feeling so strong it becomes an invisible bond between two souls.

I come gladly to this moment when we pledge our love in front of all assembled here.

I promise to share in the good times and the bad; to be there always when you have need of me.

You are everything I have dreamed of in a partner.

I trust you with my hopes and dreams and promise to be supportive of yours.

You are the melody of my life; the music that plays through all I see, hear, and do.

As I take your hand in mine I promise to always be there for you.

I take your hand in mine symbolizing my commitment to walk through all of life's journeys together.

We remember with gratitude all that has come before; for it has led up to this special moment in our lives.

In front of all assembled here I make these promises to you:

I offer you today the one gift I can give no other: my heart.

(Name) I take you now to be my (husband/wife)

Today is our new beginning.  We leave behind our past and start our new life together.
